RIP Photographer Mary Ellen Mark

If you’ve seen photographs of a bald headed Marlon Brando with a dragonfly on his finger or a Diet Coke bottle cap covering his eye you’ve see the excellent work of Mary Ellen Mark who passed away on May 25th¬†at the age of 75.

Mark was the set photographer for Apocalypse Now, but her work as a street photographer is not to be missed. Below is a link to the New York Times article chronicling her life and work.
